Shaw Hall

Shaw Hall is conveniently located in the center of campus, next to the Business College Complex and across the street from the Chemistry Building. Shaw is a popular option for returning students and new students alike.

Shaw was built in 1950 and is named for Robert Sidney Shaw, MSU’s eleventh president who led the university through the Great Depression.

Attention Shaw Residents:

For fall semester 2012, all Shaw residents will receive a free CATA bus pass at check-in as a result of the dining hall construction. Shaw residents should not purchase a CATA bus pass as they will automatically receive a free pass at residence hall check-in. We encourage you to dine at Brody Square or Holmes Dining Hall or use their Combo-X-Change at Sparty's, Union Pizzeria, Union Deli, Serrano's and Riverwalk Market at Owen Hall.

There will be a “Combo-X-Change Express” snack room offering Combo-X-Change carry-out in the lower level of Shaw Hall that will provide grab-and-go items, including cold cereals, fresh fruit, yogurt, bagels, juices, coffee and milk at breakfast and cold sandwiches, salads, soups, at lunch and dinner. This location is open from 7 a.m. – 7 p.m., Sunday – Saturday. Shaw residents will also receive two (2) extra Combo-X-Changes (valid Monday – Sunday) for a total of three (3) Combo-X-Changes per day for fall 2012.
