Van Hoosen Hall

Van Hoosen provides apartment living for women only, who are sophomores or above, with a minimum GPA of 2.2. Van Hoosen apartments accommodate up to four women per fully furnished apartment with shared living, kitchen and dining area, bathroom and one large bedroom. In addition to the apartments, Van Hoosen has a community building, which is used for social events and houses resident laundry facilities.

Built to house 192 women with strict class level and GPA requirements, Van Hoosen Apartments were built in 1957. Dr. Sarah Van Hoosen was a fifth-generation farmer and a leading genetic researcher who donated land to MSU.
