Fall 2013 Student Housing Sign-up

Choosing where to live next year is a big decision. You owe it to yourself to take time to think things over, consider all your options and pick a housing option that best fits your lifestyle and your schedule.

To secure the best campus housing option to meet your needs, do not delay and sign up early to avoid being put on the housing waiting list.

Sign-up for fall 2013 is still available. Spaces are filling up quickly, so  pick out your own personal place on campus and avoid being placed on a wait list. When reviewing your options, be sure to consider all the facts.   • Armstrong and Bryan Halls are being renovated for fall 2013
    • Armstrong and Bryan are currently closed for renovation and will reopen for the 2013 – 2014 academic year. Both halls will receive similar renovations. Enhancements are being made to the first-, second-, third- and fourth-floor common areas that include new study, game, office and meeting spaces. The first floor will have a redesigned reception area and new vending, mail, trash and recycling areas. Community bathrooms, laundry rooms and stairwells will be upgraded and the buildings will also be receiving new windows, flooring and air conditioning equipment.

Fall 2013 Sign-up Schedule

After April 1
Online housing sign-up is complete for returning students. If you would like to reserve a room, contact the Housing Assignments Office by calling 517-884-LIVE (5483) or emailing liveon@msu.edu.

NOTE: Newly admitted freshmen and transfer students can confirm their need for housing once their Advanced Enrollment Deposit has been submitted.

Want to Stay On Campus Next Year for Semester Break?
Between Semester Housing will be available at no additional charge for students who sign up to live in Owen, Van Hoosen and University Village. It is also available at an additional charge for those who sign up to stay in Emmons, Hubbard, McDonel, Rather or Wonders. 

Students requiring housing between semesters who are not assigned to one of these designated locations can make reservations at the Kellogg Hotel and Conference Center or secure accommodations off campus.

If the room or hall of your choice is full, there are still many great options available to you. If you wish to cancel your Contract, you may do so for up to 14 days after you completed sign up. After that point, the Contract is legal and binding.

Contracts for residence halls and University Village Apartments are considered signed when the online sign-up process is complete and confirmed in iLive On (formerly MyHousing).
